Job Summary
The Field Marketing Associate with The Restaurant Store is responsible for communicating the advantages of shopping with TRS in a clean and concise manner across the local market area, while consistently portraying a positive representation of their local branch. The Field Marketing Associate will achieve a variety of operational goals through effective field marketing and indirect sales strategies that align with the goals of our sales and leadership teams.

Responsibilities

- Ability to effectively communicate with TRS customer base, including but not limited to food service business operators and owners
- Ability to navigate company software & technology to support customer needs and position requirements
- Ability to plan efficient travel routes to meet with local business customers on recurring basis
- Increase local branch sales by converting new prospects into active customers and re-engaging inactive and lapsed customers into regular purchasers with TRS
- Communicate pertinent information to sales team at local branch through established communication methods
- Communicate customer buying trends and competitor information to local store by providing relevant competitor invoices
- Develop and maintain knowledge of available products
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 9 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in retail and/or field marketing / sales
- Experience using MS Office Suite to maintain business-to-business relationships
- High school diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Education
