Job Summary

The Junior Data Analyst is a professional level data analytics position responsible for applying analytical and critical thinking skills to support strategic, data-driven decisions. This role is part of the Data Analytics team and will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to develop insights that enhance operational performance and contribute to organizational goals.

  • Design and implement methodologies for collecting, cleansing, and validating datasets from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and relevance for advanced analysis.
  • Conduct statistical analysis to identify key trends, correlations, and anomalies that inform strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Interpret analytical findings and develop comprehensive reports and data visualizations tailored to various audiences, including senior leadership, to guide high-level decision making.
  • Exercise independent judgement in selecting appropriate tools, techniques, and metrics for data analysis projects based on evolving business objectives.
  • Work closely with data analysts and other team members to identify data needs and recommend data-informed solutions aligned with business goals.
  • Continuously monitor developments in data science, analytics tools, and industry best practices to enhance analytical capabilities and contribute to innovations within the team.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

  • Internship or similar work experience

  • Basic understanding and proven competency in using Excel, understanding of databases, and a basic business understanding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights.
