We’re looking for a Director of Graphic Design who brings clarity, direction, and momentum to our growing creative organization. This role leads multiple design managers and team leads, guiding a 30-person graphic design team that shapes the visual expression of our brands. The Director ensures our design practice consistently produces excellent experiences, recognizable brands, and forward-thinking creative work that advances business goals
The right person balances creative vision with operational structure. They know how to lead design leaders, build scalable systems, and partner cross-functionally to make design a strategic advantage for the business.

Responsibilities
Creative / Practice (20%)
- Define and uphold the creative vision, standards, and methodology for the design organization
- Champion design quality and consistency across all touchpoints
- Ensure design work reflects a clear understanding of brand, customer, and business context
- Provide strategic creative direction and constructive feedback to managers and leads
People (25%)
- Lead and mentor design managers and leads, supporting their growth as both creative and people leaders
- Foster a culture that values collaboration, curiosity, and craft
- Partner with senior leadership on hiring, performance, and development plans
- Maintain strong team health through clear expectations, communication, and accountability
Business (30%)
- Align design priorities with core initiatives and marketing strategies
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to plan, scope, and resource
- Advocate for design as a driver of measurable business value and brand equity
- Translate business needs into clear creative direction and frameworks for execution
Operations (25%)
- Build and maintain processes that support efficiency, transparency, and high output
- Oversee staffing and capacity planning across teams
- Ensure smooth coordination and communication between design, content, marketing, and production teams
- Continuously refine how work moves from intake to delivery to improve quality, efficiency and team experience
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
- 15+ years of experience leading large creative teams (20+ designers) through managers and leads
- Strong track record of elevating design quality and aligning creative work with business goals
- Expertise in brand systems, campaign design, and cross-channel creative execution
- Experience managing creative operations, workflows, and design systems at scale
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma; experience in motion or digital design a plus
