This consistent, organic growth is why we have a need for a Software Engineering Manager to join us! This role will involve leading talented Software Development teams responsible for the development of our HRIS software.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical background in software combined with a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Foster an inclusive team culture focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
Ensure adherence to software development best practices, including CI/CD, code quality, and observability.
Responsible for performance management and career development of a team of approximately 10 Software Engineers.
Organizing and managing timelines, which includes collaborating with BA, QA and development teams.
Actively contributing to code reviews, architecture decisions and process improvements.

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

10+ years of experience in Software Engineering with a proven track record of managing high-performing engineering teams.
Software engineering background with proven experience leading an engineering team in an Agile environment.
A collaborative team mentality and the ability to successfully interface with other managers to solve problems and inspire results.
Leading teams using Microsoft Stack (particularly C#) and React.
Ability to communicate complex initiatives clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding across teams.
Utilize exceptional conflict resolution skills to navigate difficult conversations and foster positive outcomes.
Showcase strong emotional intelligence to build rapport, manage relationships, and respond appropriately to diverse situations.
Strong self-management skills to be effective with minimal supervision.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Thrive in a fast-paced team environment.

Remote Work Qualifications

Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
