Based in Lancaster, PA, Clark Associates has been a disruptive force in the Food Service industry for over 50 years. As its newest division, Clark National Accounts has been charged with further expanding the reach of Clark's products and services through the strategic application of technology and innovation. Clark National Accounts' rapidly expanding client portfolio includes a wide variety of nationally recognized brands, each with their own unique set of formidable challenges and exciting opportunities.


Your focused internship will allow you to work closely with Clark National Accounts’ sales team, specifically the Restaurant & Retail partnership development department. This department develops sustainable partnerships with multi-unit restaurant, convenience store, and grocery store brands that are modern, profitable, and growing in order to further grow the CNA portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Assist CNA's team of Partnership Executives in their efforts to sign the biggest brands across the country.
  • Facilitate cold outreach, attend virtual meetings and in-person networking opportunities with our prospects.  
  • Learn how to build a program for potential partners, tailored to their unique needs and specific goals, while also positioning CNA as an indispensable partner.  
  • Assist with quotes to provide the framework for a potential partner's program.
  • Contribute directly to the launches of CNA’s newly signed partners to ensure successful and seamless launches. 
  • Collaborate with other CNA departments to carry out prospect and new partner requests.
  • Learn about the food service industry, the products that we sell, and the unique needs of the clients we serve.
  • Develop a self-driven “Legacy Project”
  • Following your initial first three weeks on the business development team, you will choose an area that closely aligns with your own strengths and interests and identify a Legacy Project that will produce real world value, and a lasting impact on the company even after your internship has concluded.

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Experience

This internship is designed for applicants currently pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Education
