Clark Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Data & Reporting Intern to support key reporting and business intelligence functions. This full-time internship is based in Lancaster, PA, for candidates within a one-hour driving radius. 


As an intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience with tools like Excel and Power BI while supporting the team in creating reports, visualizations, and data models. You’ll assist in analyzing sales, profitability, and inventory trends, learning how data helps guide important business decisions. With guidance, you’ll help maintain reports, organize documentation, and contribute to special projects that improve how the business uses data.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with creating and updating basic Power BI reports to support business decisions (such as sales, profitability, or inventory). 
  • Support the team in preparing reports that track vendor and product category performance. 
  • Learn how to write and edit queries to gather data from different sources. 
  • Help design simple and clear data visualizations that highlight trends and insights. 
  • Work with team members to set up and maintain data models in Power BI. 
  • Keep reports, queries, and documentation organized and up to date. 
  • Assist in testing and updating existing Power BI reports. 
  • Participate in other projects and assignments as needed. 

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and charts). 
  • Interest in growing Power BI data modeling & visualization skills 
  • Exposure to coding languages such as SQL and DAX. 
  • Strong interest in data reporting and analysis. 

Education
