Job Summary
As the largest online distributor of restaurant supplies and equipment, WebstaurantStore offers more than 430,000 products with fast, dependable shipping. Unlike most in the e-commerce arena, nearly all of our technology is designed, developed, and managed in-house, giving our teams the freedom to build custom solutions in a rapidly evolving market.
This consistent, organic growth is why we have a need for a Software Engineer to join our Warehouse Optimization team, which develops services that support and streamline the process of packaging and shipping customer orders.
Job Location

Responsibilities
- Partner with a collaborative, empowered team to design and deliver innovative solutions that advance business objectives.
- Build, maintain, and support critical applications that keep products moving to our customers. This includes building out new architecture while maintaining infrastructure already in place.
- Contribute to ongoing improvements in both the software we build and the way we work together.
- Communicate clearly and effectively while taking initiative and presenting ideas.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
3+ years in a professional software development role with experience in:
- Developing and supporting web services using .NET Core (C#).
- Working with relational and non-relational data stores (SQL Server, LiteDB).
- Queuing and/or message broker technologies such as RabbitMQ, Amazon SQS, Azure Service Bus, etc.
- Working knowledge of caching solutions, particularly Redis.
- Contributing effectively to a fully remote team while maintaining availability during EST working hours.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
- Implementing solutions within an event-based architecture.
- Experience with micro frontend solutions.
- Working knowledge of the Blazor web framework.
- Monitoring and APM experience with tools such as New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, Sentry, OpenTelemetry, or similar.
