Job Summary
WebstaurantStore is looking for a UX Product Design Intern for the Summer of 2027. You'll see how user experience design works across a large ecommerce organization, rotating through some of the teams responsible for the WebstaurantStore app and website as well as TheRestaurantStore.com.
Each rotation will plug you into real project work, design critiques, and collaboration with product managers and engineers, so you leave the summer with a broader view of product design than a single-team internship could offer.
As a WebstaurantStore intern, you won't simply be observing from the sidelines. You'll have the opportunity to learn how a fast-growing organization operates, take on meaningful work, and develop skills that will carry into your career. Knowledgeable mentors will be available throughout your internship to provide guidance, answer questions, and help you turn your classroom experience into practical professional skills.

Responsibilities
As a UX Product Design Intern, you will:
- Contribute to real design work, from wireframes and prototypes to polished, on-brand UI
- Participate in design critiques and incorporate feedback into your work
- Partner with product owners and engineers to understand requirements and design solutions that work within technical constraints and achieve business goals
- Support user research and usability efforts, and help translate insights into design decisions
- Learn and apply our team's design system, patterns, and tools
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or related program
- Examples of your design work is required to be considered for this role (Include a link or attach a PDF to your application)
- Familiarity with Figma or a comparable design tool
Education
