Job Summary

The Procurement Operations Pricing Specialist is responsible for driving competitive pricing strategy execution to promote sales growth, optimize gross profit, and improve operating margins. This role acts as a strategic contributor to merchandising and procurement operations leadership, facilitating cross-functional alignment, driving decision-making, and ensuring successful execution of pricing and category initiatives.

Responsibilities

Pricing Strategy Execution

  •  Lead execution of pricing strategies aligned with revenue, margin, and growth objectives 
  •  Act as a liaison between cross-functional teams: Merchants, Procurement Operations, Global Sourcing, Marketing  
  •  Understand implications to volume and profit when adjusting pricing to respond to sales trends or competitor pricing 

Data Analysis & Market Insights

  •  Oversee sales trends across categories and product lines 
  •  Track competitor pricing and market factors 
  •  Translate market insights into actionable pricing changes 
  •  Execute forecasting and reporting of economic cost drivers 

Catalog & Pricing Structure Management

  •  Leverage pricing frameworks across different value tiers of products & brands 
  •  Maintain and enhance pricing structures to execute on the strategy of our catalog 
  •  Contribute to building and enhancing pricing tools to enable strategic pricing decisions & track financial impact\

Channel Pricing Management

  •  Manage pricing strategies across distribution channels 
  •  Support channel optimization through pricing adjustments and tracking 

Pricing Hygiene & Reporting

  •  Develop and leverage pricing hygiene reports 
  •  Identify and resolve pricing discrepancies 
  •  Establish pricing governance standards

Process Improvement & Scalability

  •  Champion automation and system improvements 
  •  Drive collaboration to improve tools and reporting

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.

Qualifications

Experience

Required

  • 3-6+ years of experience in pricing, procurement, finance, or analytics 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Advanced Excel proficiency 


Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of procurement operations, category management, or merchandising 
  • Experience with ERP, Power BI, or Tableau 
  • Mastery of pricing strategies and margin optimization techniques 

Education
