As an Operations Intern, you will:
- Learn cold chain warehouse operations and processes in a hands-on environment
- Work closely with warehouse management to develop practical solutions to problems without sacrificing quality
- Help supervisors and their teams meet department’s daily, weekly and monthly goals of the distribution center
- Analyze opportunities for growth, cutting costs, reducing damages and improving efficiencies
- Continually improve productivity targets and develop process improvements
- Complete internship projects, which could include, but are not limited to:
- Testing new order packing processes and materials
- Create new standard operating procedures for various warehouse processes
- Improve and update training manuals
- Test new warehouse software processes
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.
