Job Summary
The Senior Global Sourcing Manager of Food & Beverage Consumables plays a critical role in executing global sourcing strategies that support cost optimization, quality performance, risk mitigation, and supply chain continuity across food and beverage categories. This role partners closely with cross functional teams and global suppliers to drive strategic initiatives and operational excellence. The role also provides leadership to sourcing team members, helping build a high-performing organization capable of supporting a complex and rapidly growing food and beverage supply chain. This role serves as the primary owner of key food, beverage, and consumable ingredient supplier relationships and leads the development and execution of negotiation strategies that drive long-term value for the business.

Strategic Sourcing Execution
- Implement sourcing strategies to support business objectives across assigned food and beverage consumable categories.
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers based on capability, capacity, quality, compliance, and cost competitiveness, with emphasis on food safety, shelf-life stability, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
- Support the development and execution of global sourcing processes, policies, and business continuity plans specific to perishable and non-perishable consumables.
- Lead, coach, and develop sourcing team members to build capability, drive accountability, and support a high-performing sourcing organization.
- Build and scale a sourcing team aligned to food and beverage category needs, ensuring appropriate skill sets, workload balance, and succession planning.
- Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and performance management for direct reports, fostering a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and cross-functional partnership.
Supplier Relationship Management
- Manage supplier relationships to ensure performance, responsiveness, and alignment with company standards, including food safety certifications, allergen controls, and labeling requirements.
- Lead supplier business reviews, track KPIs, and drive corrective actions to improve quality, delivery, and cost across food and beverage consumables categories.
- Partner with suppliers to identify value creation opportunities, innovation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Guide team members in managing supplier portfolios, developing negotiation strategies, and resolving escalations.
Negotiation & Cost Management
- Lead negotiations for pricing, terms, and service levels to achieve optimal total cost of ownership across food and beverage consumables, considering factors such as commodity volatility, freight sensitivity, and shelf-life constraints.
- Conduct cost analyses, benchmark pricing, and support long term cost reduction initiatives.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with merchandising, procurement, transportation, quality, and compliance teams to ensure sourcing decisions meet business, regulatory, and operational requirements, including food safety regulations.
- Support the implementation of new systems and tools to enhance supplier visibility, performance tracking, and risk mitigation.
Market & Category Insights
- Monitor global market trends, supply base shifts, and emerging sourcing opportunities across food ingredients, beverages, packaging formats, and consumables product categories.
- Provide category insights and recommendations to inform strategic planning and supplier selection.
Physical Requirements
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
Qualifications
Experience
- 8–10 years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, or procurement, preferably in a global environment, with at least 3-5 years focused on food, beverage, or consumable product categories.
- Demonstrated success in supplier management, negotiations, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Experience working with international suppliers and navigating global trade, compliance, and quality requirements, including food safety and regulatory frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and grow team members while fostering a collaborative, high-accountability culture.
- Experience building or scaling a sourcing team, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, and developing talent.
Education
