Job Summary

The Operations Analyst supports local warehouse operations by analyzing, testing, and troubleshooting software. Working closely with management and the IT Help Desk, this role ensures timely resolution of system issues and facilitates effective communication between the warehouse and other network departments.

Responsibilities

  • Request IT permissions and user accounts on behalf of hourly staff
  • Review and assess IT needs for the warehouse and act as a liaison for our IT team for general enquiries, replacing and/or purchasing equipment and identifying issues
  • Create various reports and tools, and performs research as requested by management
  • Oversee major system rollouts and provide feedback to appropriate teams as necessary
  • Coordinate between OSS and other technical experts within the network to address problems, find solutions, and communicate needs in support of the Warehouse Operations
  • Effectively communicate with the warehouse management team to ensure that reports and data are properly used and understood
  • Constantly monitor warehouse processes and expectations to ensure total compliance, and promptly report any issues to the Distribution Center General Manager
  • Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
  • Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
  • Abide by all company and warehouse policies
  • Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
  • Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
  • Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
  • Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
  • Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. Occasional activities may involve exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, and exposure to dust, fumes and gases. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The passage of employees through the work area is average and normal.

Qualifications

Experience

  • Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in systems management, data analysis, and/or IT services role preferred but not required
  • Associate degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working in a distribution or manufacturing environment

Education

Desired Traits & Skills

  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues in collaboration with the IT Help Desk, including Honeywell devices, WiFi, computers, printers, etc.
  • Proficiency in collecting, organizing, and processing data on a personal computer; MS Office required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all warehouse employees
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical and complex concepts in a simple and concise way to ensure ease of understanding
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly adapt as business needs change; ability to address difficult situations with diplomacy and emotional intelligence
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a demonstrated desire to exceed expectations
  • Ability to work off-shift as required to respond to urgent needs
